Field Day

Field day was the last day of May.  The younger grades in elementary stayed at the school and had stations to rotate through.  There were a few blow up water slides, sack race, hurdles (on gravel), 3 legged race, etc.  The kids had a blast!

Brek and her 2 best friends

I had to throw in this picture of Luke making faces at the camera.

Future hurdler.  She really did tell me after this that she wants to run the hurdles when she grows up!  Yay!

May Happenings

I am a jungle gym for my kids.  Here is Luke flying.

Tyce had to research mosquitoes for a school project

The kids had an end of school year summer bash at their elementary school where we got to stand in line for 2 hours to go down the water slide twice...  It could have been because big kids kept going and cutting back in line, but who really knows??

 Luke on the obstacle course
He was so funny because he didn't know where he was supposed to go and kept cutting back and forth between his and the other lane.

Bruce at the cookie walk

Bruce was not shy.  He just hopped right in behind Tyce.  Tyce won 3 different times, but Brek never won even though she was at it for half an hour!

Getting wet and having fun!

A funny picture of Tyce going down the water slide.

An even funnier picture of Brek on it.  If you look closely you can see her face sticking out of the water.  Ha!

It's always fun at the park!...

The kids found LOTS of roly polies at the park!

All over Luke's shirt!

I've had my eye out on Craigslist for a bunk bed for the boys.  Their bed was a queen mattress and box springs given to us by my parents that was so comfy but finally starting to fall apart.  I saw this gem and jumped on it!
They love their new bed!

The other day Luke was up on the counter.  I told him to GET DOWN!  I turn my head and hear a CRASH and screaming.  Luke is on top of the open dishwasher with a fork sticking out of his foot!  Yikes!  It was in there a good quarter of an inch.  Poor kid.  It's healing nicely though.

For Memorial Day we just hung out at home, but Brock thought it would be fun to let the kids each be in charge of preparing something for dinner.  They loved it!
Daddy and Brek made empanadas

Luke made apple juice ;)

Tyce and I made cupcakes

Brock took Tyce to a football game one Friday night, Luke to go workout at the weight room the next day, and promised Brek a date that night!  I think she enjoyed her date, don't you?
I'm so thankful to have a husband that is willing to take the kids with him wherever he goes!  He's pretty awesome.

Oh, and here he is with one of his student's snake at school.  Agh!!!
