At Home

Bruce has been teething recently.  One morning he woke up at 4AM so I put him in the bed with us.  When he woke up he had a beautiful mohawk...

The boys were playing outside in the backyard and told me that they were done and all washed off ready to come in.  Oh really? 

This was the night of the First Presidency Christmas devotional.  I thought they were all so cute sitting around in a circle playing legos.  Of course, when I pull out the camera Tyce got mad about something.

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving we were able to go to Childress and see everybody in my family (except our missionary Kaden, of course)!  It was so much fun and we all had a blast!

The boys had so much fun wrestling with Uncle Kevin!  He was such a good sport to play so much with them.

Last Football Game

Our last football game was on the 6th of November.  I finally brought my good camera so hopefully these pictures are a tad bit better than my phone pics.

Tyce and Luke were pretty excited to be able to give the players a high five on their way out to the field.

I can't say that I'm sad football season is over.  Taking 4 children to and from football games is a bit stressful, but I do love to watch Brock coach.  He's so good at what he does, and I'm so proud to be Coach Payne's wife!  We're looking forward and excited for next year but very glad for the break right now! :)

DIY Headboard

Many moons ago I came across these bad boys.  The bishop from our ward in Uvalde agreed to let us borrow his trailer for a move from Uvalde to Sabinal if we wouldn't mind dumping the load he had on it.  Of course! These beauties were on it, and when I saw them I made Brock put them aside for us.  Aren't they beautiful??  I had been having thoughts of doing our own homemade headboard for a while, and when I saw these I knew that they would be perfect!  Well, they sat around our house for FOREVER until I finally decided that I needed a project.  So I started on them thinking that I would be able to do it all on my own. Haha!!!!  Then we ended up moving to Hondo where they once again just got put away to be forgotten.  Until the glorious day when football season ended and my husband decided that he was bored too and needed a project.  So we pulled them out and yeah...Brock did pretty much all of the work! :) Thank goodness because I would have totally screwed it up!  We have actually had this finished for almost a year, but I finally took a picture here in our new house to show y'all.  So here is the finished project that I am super proud of...

For the first time in my life I am super excited to make the bed in the morning because I just love how beautiful it looks with this awesome headboard!  We also did a matching nightstand and mirror to go with it.  Yay!!!!

Luke's 4th Birthday!

 Luke turned 4 on the 1st! We celebrated with a cupcake dinosaur and homemade "streamers." :) I just love this little guy so much! He has been really fun lately. He gets so excited about little things, and it makes me so happy! He often comes into the kitchen to check out what's for dinner and exclaims, "Mom, I LOVE this dinner!" He skips everywhere we go and is so loving to his little brother Bruce.

Happy Halloween!

We went to our ward trunk or treat the week before Halloween and had lots of fun! Here is Luke the power ranger, Tyce the ninja turtle, Bruce the football player, and Brek (Rapunzel). It was pouring rain all day so it was inside, but it was still lots of fun for the kids.

Halloween day we went out trick-or-treating and also had lots fun! Luke decided to change into the incredible hulk. :)

Football

We've been having fun going to the football games this year. Unfortunately, our poor team has only won the one game this season. Next week is our last game. Here are a few pictures from the past 3 weeks of football. At one of the games Brek got to go cheer on the sidelines the ENTIRE game! She was in heaven. :)

 Football games are definitely "interesting" watching these kids.
