April Fool's

Brek kept coming home talking about all of the pranks that the kids had been talking about at school for April Fool's, so Brock and I decided that it would be fun to prank our kids.  Brock went and bought some pizza to cook and when it was almost done he called all of the kids in to eat and served them up some delicious tortillas with spicy hot sauce and moldy mushrooms.

Tyce with the real pizza.  Now he's happy!

I thought it would be fun to set all of the clocks one hour ahead so that the kids would go to bed an hour early!  Too bad for us we were running behind so it was already 7:30 (8:30 prank time) by the time we were getting them "to bed."  And it doesn't work so well when you have little kids who know bed time by how dark it is outside.  Luke noticed and said, "It's not bed time.  It's still light outside."  So my prank was kind of a fail, but it was fun to try!  Next year we'll have to think of something really good. :)

Field Trips

Last week was the week of field trips!  First was Brek's trip to the zoo, and then the very next day was Tyce's trip around the community.  The kids had so much fun at the zoo!

The very next day was Tyce's field trip to different places in the community (fire station, police station, city hall, library).  I honestly was not quite up for the trip because of our long day the day before, but Tyce was so cute asking me if I was coming.  I decided to meet up with them for the fire station and library.

Tyce and Bruce were so excited to see each other.  Tyce just had to pick him up.  So cute.

Easter

We had a pretty quiet easy going Easter again this year.  We tried to talk about Christ's resurrection a bit more this year so that the kids could understand a little more what Easter is really about.  It was really nice.

For our Easter egg hunt we just hid eggs in the backyard.  The kids had fun!  Brock was busy working on his Master's class and I was busy making dinner and what not, so we didn't have our hunt until almost bedtime!  As we were scrambling to find baskets for the hunt one of the kids stepped on Bruce's basket and broke it, and Luke's was nowhere to be found.  So we grabbed our Halloween buckets that were conveniently lying around for the two that were missing. :)

Bruce has been much more expressive lately, and this is the face he makes a lot when he's talking.  So funny.

The kids were so sweet to each other this year.  Tyce was upset that he didn't find very many eggs and immediately Brek and Luke both volunteered to give some of their eggs to him.  I love my kids.

Happy Halloween!  I mean, er, Easter...

Hurry and eat all the candy before Mom takes it away! :)
