Fun in the Sun

It's summer time in South Texas!  The kids have really been enjoying their new kiddie pool...

We did smores one day outside (that's what's all over Tyce)

Brek was the only one who would stop for the camera.  What a poser! :)

On a different day, Brock jumped in with them after work.  They loved it of course.

My cutie pie

And I just love these next few pictures of the boys.  Luke automatically makes faces when he sees me with the camera.  He's trying to "smile for the camera" in case you were wondering.

I love my babies!

Camping

A few weekends ago we went camping to Garner State Park.  It was so much fun!  By chance we got the best camping spot in the park!  We were right up against a big hill and it was absolutely gorgeous.  We had so much fun playing on the playground, exploring, roasting hot dogs and marshmallows, telling stories around the "campfire" (due to the dry conditions we could only have a fire to cook), seeing deer and turkey, and fishing.  It was so perfect until...

Our neighbors showed up at 12:45 am!!!!!  Agh!!!!!  They were so loud!  They set up their tent, built a fire (which I thought was illegal), and made plenty of noise until after 3:00 am!!!!!  What the heck!  Brock and I were so ticked!  Luckily, the kids did not wake up.  Then at 6:30 in the morning they yell, "6:30!"  Needless to say, we were a little tired that day.  Brock made us a yummy dutch oven breakfast after which we went to the playground.  When we came back they were gone.  Their car was still there so we thought maybe they were taking a nap so...our car alarm went off, the kids were screaming, rocks were getting smashed together, and more noise!  Yeah, later we found out they weren't even there.  Shoot.  That would have been sweet revenge. :)  So Luke and I lay down for a nap while Brock takes the kids fishing.  Of course the neighbors were back then to cuss and be completely inappropriate while we were trying to sleep again!  I tell you this story because I think it's funny.  It really was a perfect weekend.  It just could have been even better if our camping neighbors never showed up!

We were all so dirty by the time we got home!  You're not supposed to be clean when you're camping, right??  I kept thinking that when I was watching everyone check in at the entrance.  They were all wearing such nice clothes.  And then there was us... :)

Our chef

Going fishing with Daddy
Brock said he made the kids give him the worms to put on the hook and they did a good job with it.  Doesn't actually surprise me too much with Brek.  You'd think because she's a girl she wouldn't like to get dirty, but she's my child who is always the first in the mud and dirt trying to get the other 2 to join her.

A view of the park
This is not where we were actually camping, but you can see how pretty it is.

Tyce

I'm sorry if you're getting sick of all of the videos of Tyce.  I just think he is hilarious!  He still cannot blow right.  We have even been working with him. :)

Easter

For Easter we were able to go to Childress to spend some time with my family.  We had lots of fun, and it was so good to see everyone (It felt like we hadn't seen them in forever when actually it had only been about 3 months!).  The kids had so much fun playing with their cousins!

We were able to go on two Easter egg hunts.  One on Saturday that the church had out on the ranch and the other at Nanny and Papa's.  Here are some pictures from the ranch...

Beautiful Brek

I thought Luke wanted on the trampoline to get the eggs, but then he picked them up and threw them off!  He had no idea what to do with them.  I think he thought they were balls!  He finally got the hang of it later with the help of Savanna and both of the Papas.

My sweet Tyce

Luke

The best shot I could get of these 3 holding their buckets.  Brek had so much fun hanging out with Avery!  She has been needing some good girl time.

He loves to pose for pictures

I am in love with these pictures of Papa and Luke!

Back at Nana and Papa's house...
Papa playing with the grandkids on the trampoline.  They loved it as you can tell!

I love this picture of Papa getting Brek.

Hog Fest

We were able to go to a HogFest close to here a couple of weekends ago.  It was so fun!  We will definitely be attending in the future.  Brock was able to get a few really good clips of the hog catching.  I put the best and funniest ones up.  One of the pigs got out in one of the videos and everyone was chasing it.  Very entertaining.  Enjoy...

This is Tyce posing since Brek was posing in the picture before.

The kids begged us for corndogs after they saw the foot long ones.  We gave in.

Tyce made the double stroller a triple stroller.

For the grandmas and grandpas...

This post is mainly for the grandmas and the grandpas.  Just a silly little clip of watching the kids play at a festival we went to (more on that to come).  But it does have Tyce's signature booty shake in it (that kid is obsessed with his booty).  That and I think he probably has to go to the bathroom...

Semi-Pro

Did I mention that my husband plays semi-pro football?  Well, he does. :)  Oh yeah.  The Uvalde Trojans.  A good friend of Brock's from the ward plays on the team and finally talked Brock into playing.  He has loved it so far because not only does he get to play football again, he gets to coach as well.  He has been helping out coaching the line.  They are undefeated so far!  We got to go to one of the games a couple of weeks ago and here are a few pics I was able to get...

Brock is closest to us on the line (black and red)

#62

The kids did awesome at the game!  We ended up getting there about 2 HOURS before the game started (the coach did not tell the players that it had been moved back by 45 minutes so that the players who showed up late the week before would actually be there on time....the quarterback showed up I think at halftime of the last game)!  Luckily it was at a park so we played for quite a while on the swings and slides before the game.  I guess the one thing that happened with the kids that frustrated me is that (Elizabeth you can appreciate this...) Tyce peed on me in the bathroom before the game started!  So I was really frustrated thinking that this was going to be a horrible day with a start like that, but it wasn't!  They were awesome after that.

My cute boys

Here is another funny story of the day....
Look closely and you will see a grass stain ON TYCE"S HEAD!!!!!  Who gets grass stains on their heads???  My children!  At about halftime we gave up with the stands and went over to the other side of the end zone, and I let the kids just run around and play.  They were running up and down a hill.  I was a little worried because they were running pretty fast and their momentum was making them tip over going downhill.  Sure enough Tyce takes a little hop and then lands smack on his head and rolls over!  I was scared he had really hurt himself.  He turned over and looked at me with this "Should I cry or am I okay?" look, and that's when I see the grass stain on his head!  I just crack up, and that's when he realized he was fine and started laughing too!

Another shot of the grass stain

On your mark...

Yes, Brek can fly

I have been instructed that with Tyce I have to say, "Down, set, GO!"

Running up the hill.  He learned his lesson about running down it.  Ha.  He ran down it all night.
