Christmas

Christmas Eve we made cookies for Santa!  They were super delicious and the kids had a blast!

Christmas morning the kids were up at 5:30!!!  I came out and told them that they had to wait until at least 7:00.  Regardless, we were all up at 6:40 to open presents!

Even though the boys did not get what they asked in their letters from Santa, they were super happy and I didn't hear a word about their wish lists!  It was a wonderful morning!

Lounging around in new camp chairs!

Plenty of deer jerky!

Luke got balloons from Tyce.  Wait a sec, I said that wrong.  Tyce got balloons from Luke :)

All ready for church
It was really special being able to go to church on Christmas to really focus on the true meaning.  Our closing hymn was "Oh Come All Ye Faithful" where we had our organist and also a pianist playing.  It was so powerful!  It was as if the angels were singing with us.

This picture does not do it justice, but this is my new necklace from Brock!  I love it!!!

All of our deer meat from Brock's hunting over the Christmas break!  I think we're set!

Childress

We went to Childress the week before Christmas.  We were able to have the annual Christmas nativity with the family and open presents.  It was lots of fun.  The week was so nice to just relax and enjoy the great company!  Brock also shot a few deer.  He loves the time he gets to hunt!

Stopped for Subway on the way there

The Nativity and Christmas presents
Bruce was so cute.  All of the kids were getting into costume down in the den and practicing their parts.  Bruce kept running up to us and saying, "I'm an angel!"  He probably came and told us about 6 times!

But isn't he the sweetest, cutest angel??

The cast

Oh yeah.  And after all of the hullabaloo about an angel he came out as Joseph!!  Still absolutely adorable!!!

My beautiful children

Luke got a remote control car from Nana and Papa.  He loved it!  Tyce did, too.  I just couldn't get him to sit still for a picture!

Bruce loved his gifts, too!

Brek got a "B".  Just what she wanted!

Just some silly boys eating something :)

Papa came home one day with this!  Oh boy!  They had so much fun!

Just a few of the grandkids having too much fun :)

Beautiful

Uncle Kevin was just too much fun!  The boys were in wrestling mode with their shirts off.

When the weather finally warmed up the kids remembered that they had discovered a super cool tree house last time they were in Childress.  After that, I didn't see them for 2 days!  Too bad it was the last 2 days we were there that it was finally warm enough for that.  The boys had so much fun playing out there and setting booby traps! :)

Here is a booby trap that actually got Bruce!  It's a football covered with grass.

I took Tyce and Brek to United one day and they got super excited to see this shopping cart.  Unfortunately, it was for smaller children.  They were smooshed!   They were pretty mad that I made them get out.

And Tyce lost his other front tooth while we were there!  Perfect timing for Christmas!  "All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth!"

Loose teeth, Christmas festivities, basketball and more...

Tyce lost 2 bottom baby teeth FOREVER ago, and now he finally lost one of his top front teeth!  He's happy, happy, happy! :)

A cold front was coming through one night so we told Brek that she needed to wear warm clothes to school the next day.  After lots of complaining, crying, screaming about how she had no clothes that felt good she finally went to bed.  By the time I went to check on her I found this note outside her door...
Needless to say, the next morning was disastrous.

A friend from the branch invited us over to do Christmas crafts and eat yummy food.
Luke is pretty awesome at this stuff

Bruce having fun!

We signed Brek and Tyce up for basketball this year and they are loving it!  Tyce's first game Daddy got to sub coach.

Brek missed her first game because she was sick.  This was her first game of the season.  She has a lot of fun!
Brek #9 (over the back :)

She's so fast all of my pics of her are blurry :)

Dribbling the ball

Throwing in the ball (she must have her mommy's genes)

We were able to attend our branch Christmas party.  There was lots of good food, music, and crafts.  Brek was off playing with her friends, but here are my boys...
Bruce was taking cues from Luke.  He had to put his arm up on the chair like Luke.

All in position

Brek and Tyce had a Christmas music program at their school.  It was really cute and we all had lots of fun!  It was outside with a spotlight on the field so I didn't get any good pics of them there, but here they are before we left...

Christmas party time at the school!  I love that at their new school we can call it a Christmas party and not holiday party!

I was at Brek's party first and then went over to Tyce's.  As soon as I walked in the door, Tyce ran over to me and the kid who sits next to his desk threw up all over the place!  I'll call it good timing in that it made Tyce be away from his desk.  Poor kid.
