This year for Christmas we stayed home. We missed our extended family, but we really enjoyed our own little family time. Christmas Eve we made Christmas cookies for Santa. The kids had a blast. After cookies, we hopped in the car and went around singing carols and looking at lights. Then home to tell the story of Jesus' birth and to bed. The kids were in bed by 8:30!

Luke, Brock, Tyce, and Brek
Brek wrote "Merry Christmas" on a paper for Santa. She's getting pretty good at her letters as you can see!
Brock and I woke up Christmas morning thinking that any minute the kids would be awake. So we hopped up and grabbed the cameras to get their reaction when they saw their presents. They didn't wake up for another 15 or 20 minutes! My family of course would make fun of me right now saying that I'm always the one that is the most excited for Christmas and up first!
Christmas morning was slow and fun. The kids played with their Santa presents for quite a while before they realized there were other presents to open. And then when we finally opened the other presents we stopped and played with each for quite a while before going to the next. It was fun, and I think they really got to enjoy each thing.
Brek got ballerina/princess clothes & accessories.
She wouldn't take them off for a few days.
Tyce got boots for Christmas.
He calls them his hunting boots because they have camo on them.
